The mental health crisis among college and university students is a growing issue, with the lack of adequate or appropriate specialist support systems often worsening the problem.
In recognition of this escalating problem, I am delighted to be working in association with NotLost Wellbeing Specialists. The organisation founder, Alex Conroy MSc Psychology (British Psychological Society) is an accredited psychologist who along with a team of dedicated experts provides quality mental health therapy and wellbeing support, striving to bridge the gaps in the further and higher education mental health services.
Their focus is working with colleges, universities and ITP’s, supporting learners and staff with mental health challenges, in particular the low level, high incidence space before they hit crisis such as low self-esteem, limiting self-beliefs etc.
Alex and his team have developed an app which is designed to support the needs of both staff and students 24/7. NotLost Wellbeing Specialists are already working with a number of training providers (one of whom just got grade 1 Outstanding and the app was front and centre of the inspection!)
Over the next few weeks I will be updating my blog with more information and detail on the growing mental health crisis.I will also look at options available to support.
